Avalon Town Park in Community of Avalon Park
Meetup 6:45 PM – Rollout 7:00 PM
10 Mile Loop – Slow Paced

Because of logistical challenges locally, we are joining the Ride of Silence group in community of Avalon Park, east of Orlando, approximately 45 minutes drive from Cocoa.

Please join the us for a Ride of Silence on Wednesday, May 16, 2018. This silent ride will honor cyclists who have been killed or injured while riding their bicycles on Florida roadways.

As Ride of Silence participants we can help to raise awareness among all citizens that bicyclists have the same rights to roadways as motorists.  Numerous bicyclists have been seriously hurt or killed in Brevard County. They are fathers, mothers, sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, husbands, wives, friends and co-workers, as well as bicyclists.

This ride is occurring on this day in many other communities around Florida, the U.S. and the world: http://www.rideofsilence.org/locations-domestic.php

SCFW club members are encouraged to wear club jerseys. If you have black neckerchiefs or armbands you are invited to wear them.

Those wishing to carpool to Avalon Park, either sharing space or getting a ride, will meet at Cocoa Riverfront Park at 5:45pm to depart by 6:00pm. Set up carpool plans on the Event FB page.

Those able to stick around after the ride can join us for supper (location TBD).
